Mesp announces the completed national registry of unpermitted constructions

28/09/2015 - COMPLETED NATIONAL REGISTRY OF UNPERMITTED CONSTRUCTIONS - 11.09.2015 Honored citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, we inform you that the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning announces the COMPLETED NATIONAL REGISTRY OF UNPERMITTED CONSTRUCTIONS for constructions registered until 11 September 2015. You may find the Completed National Registry of Unpermitted Constructions at MESP Webpage. We inform you that the application for legalization stage for all constructions listed in the COMPLETED REGISTRY OF UNPERMITTED CONSTRUCTIONS started on 16 September 2015. Applications for legalization should be submitted to your municipality by 16 March 2016.

Minister Agani joins children’s day

01/06/2015 - Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Ferid Agani, on the occasion of June 1, Children's Day, participated in a special edition of BarCamp Prishtina, organized by Green Art Center Prishtina. On this occasion, Minister Agani wished successes to all children of Kosovo, and simultaneously urged to jointly raise the level of education in the country, in order to eliminate the mistreatment, abuse, and neglect against children. Minister Agani thanked activists of Green Art Center Prishtina, who constantly are engaged in preserving and protecting the environment, by organizing activities and actions for cleaning various parts of Prishtina, but also throughout Kosovo. This edition BarCamp Prishtina was held in the International Children's Day, and intends to promote children who have managed to turn their desires and ideas into reality. Participants had the opportunity to hear different stories from children, aiming to inspire young people and members of the Green Pristina Clubs of primary schools, who through their commitment can be successful as well.

Kosovo signed the ministerial statement of 7th world water forum 2015

14/04/2015 - Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Ferid Agani, together with the Chief of the Environmental Protection Agency, Ilir Morina, are participating in the 7th World Water Forum, which is being held in Gyeongju city, the Republic of South Korea. On this occasion the Minister Agani, in the presence of 169 delegations from around the world, had a speech, through which he has described the current water situation in Kosovo. "Providing drinking water to all citizens, protection of water resources as a national asset, strengthening the system of financing water resources management through good and creative management, raising awareness for water conservation, and implementation of public-private partnerships, within the conceptual framework of integrated management of water resources, are and remain top priorities of the government of Kosovo, "said Minister Agani. On these principles, Republic of Kosovo strongly supports the ministerial statement of 7th World Water Forum, adopted on 13 April 2015 in Gyeongju, Republic of South Korea, attended by 169 delegations, 19 ministers and 8 world presidents. Agani is informed closely about the situation after the floods in the region of Viti

30/03/2015 - Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Ferid Agani visited on Monday the Municipality of Viti, where he was welcomed by the mayor Sokol Haliti. Minister Agani was closely informed by the Mayor Haliti about the situation in the region following the recent floods, expressing his concern, but also the commitment to overcome the situation, which is calculated extremely heavy. Thereafter, the minister of MESP, Ferid Agani, along with Mayor Sokol Haliti visited the region affected by the recent floods, created as a result of the exit from the bed of the river Morava e Binçës. After inspecting the situation, Agani and Haliti agreed, that to overcome this situation, urgently is required the regulation of riverbed Morava e Binçës, where often are caused floods and damages to agricultural lands in Viti.

Kosovo also joined to the challenge of climate change

27/03/2015 - Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Ferid Agani attended the ministerial-level Symposium on Climate Change which was held in Safranbolu town in the Republic of Turkey. In his speech, Minister Agani informed higher forum for approval of Climate Change Strategy 2014-2024 by the Government of Kosovo and its willingness to actively participate in global projects to put under control and to make predictable current climate changes, which during the conference were evaluated as the global challenge for all countries in the world. At the end of the conference was adopted Safranbolus statement on climate change which raises the principles of regional and global action on climate change adaptation, and mitigate their consequences as important document in preparation for the Global Summit on Climate Changes to be held in December this year in Paris.
