In the premises of the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Minister Mr. Liburn Aliu hosted a meeting with the representatives of NATO / KFOR in Kosovo: Lt. Col. Stefano Nappi, Legal Adviser; Mr. Domenico Albonetti, Chief Political Advisor; Lt. Col. Ivano Passaretti, Air Chief; and Mr. Alexander Aalmo, Deputy Chief Political Advisor.


On the other hand, in this meeting were also the representatives of the civil aviation relevant Kosovo institutions, Mr. Bahri Nuredini - Director of the Agency for Air Navigation Services together with his team, from the Civil Aviation Authority, Mr. Bujar Ejupi general director, Arianit Islami - director of the department for air navigation services, as well as the chairman of the supervisory board Mr. Skender Halili.


The meeting followed a detailed discussion about the process of normalization of Kosovo's lower airspace, on which occasion Minister Aliu announced to the KFOR representatives the commitment and the recent steps taken by the Kosovo institution to push forward this process, initially the formalization of air routes with Albania by the end of this year, and further on also with Montenegro.


The KFOR delegation also informed Minister Aliu for the NATO's commitment toward this process, and offered their full support in overcoming obstacles that may arise in order to finalize this process.


Both parties agreed to continue the cooperation and closely coordinate to further implement this process as soon as possible.
