PRISHTINA, 4 March 2011  – The Economic Development Minister (MED), Besim Beqaj, in a one-day visit to Great Britain has held several meetings with respective state representatives, and representatives of organizations and companies, looking for possibilities for an economic cooperation and implementation of different projects with the support of Britain’s national institutions.

Minister Beqaj met with Daniel Fearn, Director of the Department for the Western Balkans, of the British Foreign Office, to discuss on further cooperation between the two countries, on the areas of MED.

The meeting with representatives of the Department for International Development (DFID) was focused on DFID’s energy and mining projects in Kosovo, and they expressed their readiness to continue with ongoing cooperation.

During the London visit, Minister Beqaj also met the representatives of the International Financial Corporation, Audi Engineering Society (AES).

Beqaj also had meetings with representatives of Electric Commercial Enterprises (PWC) and Dr. Oleg Levitin, Senior Political Advisor to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
