PRISHTINA, 26 April 2011 – The Ambassador of Great Britain in Kosovo, confirmed the support of his country for Kosovo, emphasizing that it will continue to support Kosovo in all spheres.

During an introductory meeting with the Ambassador of Great Britain in Kosovo, the Minister of Economic Development Besim Beqaj expressed his gratitude to the friendly country for the support given to Kosovo to date and called for further support in lobbying endeavors towards Kosovo’s membership in the European Union and other European and global bodies.

Minister Beqaj asked Ambassador Cliff’s support to ensure that his country’s government encourages and invites potential businesses and investors to invest in Kosovo and to consider Kosovo a partner in such activities, reiterating that Kosovo’s legal infrastructure provides rather suitable conditions for foreign investments.

The support of Great Britain in resolving problems regarding the implementation of CEFTA agreement and in finding practical solutions on its implementation, is more than welcome acknowledging that this agreement should be beneficial for the entire region.

The support of Great Britain becomes ever more welcome when considering that this seemingly technical agreement also entails very serious political implications, stated Minister Beqaj.

Abmbassador Cliff was also informed on current projects that may be considered by the potential investors from his home country.
