Prishtina, 20 June 2011 – Post and Telecom of Kosovo Privatization process is developing according to the strategy and plan, in line with legal provisions and in full transparency.

Government Committee on Privatization (GCP) for PTK, in line with the Decisions of the Assembly and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, has carried out the pre-qualification process, for companies interested in the privatization of PTK.

For the acquisition of 75% shares of PTK jsc, Hrvatski Telekom d.d., Croatia, Mother Company Deutche Telecom, Germany, and Telekom Austria AG, Austria, have qualified.

Application evaluation process has been concluded by a panel of professional in the composition of five participatory ministries in the GCP.

Transaction advisors, realizing their tasks and obligations to the process, are in continuous contacts with authorized representatives of qualified companies, interested to participate in the PTK privatization.

Government Committee on Privatization, through the Project Implementation Unit for the PTK privatization, and the transaction advisor, is preparing the required documentation to publish the call to bid.

The next step for the process is the call for proposals, namely technical offers, where qualified investors are offered access to the relevant documentation and are presented with a draft-agreement for the tradeoff of shares with the potential limitations.

After this phase, when their final offers are received, the companies are invited to give their financial offers, which is last criterion for the determination of the wining bidder.

PTK privatization process shall be concluded by end of this year.
