Prishtina, 09.08.2019 - The Minister of Economic Development, Mr Valdrin Lluka, hosted in a meeting the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Kosovo, Mr Pavel Bilek, with whom he discussed the political situation in the country and on-going economic projects.

On this occasion, the Head of the Czech Embassy, Mr Bilek, informed Minister Lluka that investments and imports from the Czech Republic have increased in the last couple of years, as a result of the better cooperation between businesses from Kosovo and Czech Republic.

Furthermore, Mr Bilek emphasised that several investments from this country are expected to be finalized soon, primarily in the field of Information Technology and Energy.

Minister Lluka informed the Czech Ambassador of the sectors covered by the MED, namely projects in the field of energy, including therein the legislation, which is highly favourable for foreign investors.

Otherwise, the Czech Republic has experienced an extraordinary economic development in recent years, reducing unemployment to 2.9%, the lowest level of unemployment ever recorded.
